Good Character

There is a light of goodwill and compassion within all of us.

We just have to bring that light from inside out into the world.

Good character is the work of bringing that light from within ourselves out into the world so that it influences and inspires all of the people with whom we relate.

Good character is the heartening work that helps us transform problematic personality traits and habits that may mar our ability to build healthy, caring relationships.

Mindfulness (finding inner calm, focus, and healthy awareness) grounds our character development work.

Here are 10 cornerstone relational concepts for character development and peaceful healthy human relations

1. Accountability

Creating conscious measures to ensure responsibility for the impact, impressions, and effects of decisions and actions.

2. Conscientiousness

Consistently executing acts thoroughly, decisively, and diligently.

3. Consequentiality

Cultivating a diligent awareness of the natural (rather than imposed) effects, consequences, or impact of decisions and actions.

5. Interdependence

Mutually depending on others and the environment to share and uplift collective good.

6. Magnanimity

The generous quality of being open and inclusive to difference with a compassionate and forbearing nature.

7. Proportionality

A consistent sense of fairness that never makes an action or a decision more extreme or deficient than is necessary.

8. Reasonability

Exhibiting good judgement that is neither deficient nor extreme.

9. Reliability

The quality of being trustworthy, dependable, and performing consistently well

10. Responsibility

Fully realizing the state of having a duty to deal with, care for, and honor something or someone.
